Maybe not a competitor, but Take.tv is looking great with the available hardware/software combo. This company will provide the service of a device that can download Internet media and then attach to your TV for viewing. The device comes equipped with a remote for navigating through your media. All in one.
Features:
- PC to TV video player
- Remote control
- Cradle with integrated cables
- AC power adapter
As for the website, the domain was purchased on Sept. 11, 2007. Brand spanking new and ready to roll. As with any new website I review, it will remain to be seen how well they position their product. It’s unfortunate that some of the venture capitalist maybe kicking themselves for vesting millions into defunct startups. TakeTV seems to be a great tool to launch onto the global market. See the deadpool list for 2007.

Yes, the title may give you a reason to read why you do not want a free website from Weebly. However, after digging a little more I found the above title lead to ellusive article reprints across various free article websites. So, what does all this mean? My point here is to address the free website Weebly.com and their attempt to lure the average Joe into building a website for free. The articles may attempt to enforce a negative opinion, rather, it’s an attempt to endorse the service via SEO tactics (And I certainly approve.) Read the last paragraph in some of the articles, the links will direct you to a silly service from TakeOnTheNet.com, which will charge you how to learn to use a free service that bases their whole existance on how easy it is to build your own website. Yes, it’s easy. In my opinion the Weebly.com service will eliminate the cheap web designers littered across the web. The below link refines the search for websites with weebly and benefits as keywords, this is what pulled up:
The Google search result: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=intitle%3Aweebly+benefits
I’m still scratching my head as to why Weebly.com is even in business. There downfall will be the eventual revenue stream they must establish in order to be feasible. The jury is still out on this one. We can’t have everything for free, just look at Google!
I’m excited that a comment came about this article. Weebly must provide some benefit to many on the Internet. Maybe I’ll start my own pay-to-learn website!

Remote desktop application, rather, a desktop that can be accessed remotely from a Internet cafe of choice. Visit the latest debut to the web, www.jooce.com based in Paris, France. For the past month I’ve grown increasingly interested in how imaginative Web 2.0 has taken shape. We are viewing more and more web-based apps across the Internet at blazing speed. I’m finding it difficult to keep up with each service and its social networking capabilities. There’s only so much room, right? How about you?

Interesting turn on the web, a startup company in the Netherlands, Wakoopa, has a setup that will track application use. Moreover, the tracking commits to privacy issues with the Web 2.0 interaction required from the end user. What’s this? To put it simply, the app tracks app usage of applications. Similar to a music download service, Wakoopa uses a tracking tool to record user application use.
With the tracking in place, users can share and communicate opinions on their favorite apps, thus new users can choose to explore yet another new tool. Man, this crap is getting crazy! It’s hard enough keeping a day job let alone tracking every new web tool.
I find it very interesting. However, the data speaks for itself taking in consideration that the user demographic is a likely young audience. Why say that? Well, for starters I see Firefox as the number 1 app in use. If you don’t know, most colleges use proprietary crap that they recommend using IE for online classes. Problem is, IE don’t work that well sadly. Enter stage right, Firefox; it solves all our issues. Have you heard of WebCT?
Side note:for some reason my qwerty issues keep typing wakoops.com! Should you buy this domain?
